How is it different from a generic chatbot?
Unlike off-the-shelf AI tools, Spec Rep AI is trained on a variety of training materials both developed and curated by Spec Up. This includes risk-aware specification principles and local compliance standards such as the National Construction Code (NCC). Importantly it also has training in avoiding greenwashing. It speaks the language of architects in the Australian context.

Spec Rep AI is your brand’s virtual specification consultant. Trained on your technical documents, product data, and website, it can answer architect queries, recommend appropriate products, provide documentation, and escalate queries to human reps when necessary.

Yes. Based on the training materials and project context, the AI Spec Rep can suggest suitable product options, clarify performance criteria, and help architects find the right fit—without requiring your team to respond in real-time.

Can it send documents or email responses?
Yes. The AI can provide datasheets, guides, or conversation summaries to architects and will notify your team when follow-up is requested. This bridges the gap between automation and human support.

How is the AI trained?
Each AI Spec Rep is custom-trained using your product website, brochures, datasheets, installation manuals, certificates, and any other relevant materials. This process is led by the Spec Up team, who work closely with AI engineers to ensure the content is interpreted correctly and delivers meaningful, compliant responses.

How long does setup take?

Spec Rep AI is priced at $1,000 + GST (one-off setup fee) and $1,500 + GST per month, with a 3-month minimum commitment. This includes 10,000 credits per month for usage across your AI agent(s), as well as full platform support, updates, and access to usage insights.

Yes. It references the National Construction Code and flags when compliance issues may require human review. While it supports code-aware responses, it does not replace formal compliance checks or certifications.

In due course, the SRHD will host all active agents built on the Spec Rep AI system, making it a true one-stop shop for architectural specification support. Inclusion on the platform is exclusive to Spec Rep AI clients and is not open to third-party or unverified agents.
